DISCRIMINATION IN PLACES OF PUBLIC ACCOMMODATION

DISCRIMINATION IN PLACES OF PUBLIC ACCOMMODATION

As with employment, Massachusetts and federal law prohibit certain types of discrimination in places of public accommodation -such as restaurants, movie theatres, and sporting venues)- because of a person’s age, disability, gender, military service, national origin, pregnancy, race, religion, sexual harassment, and/or sexual orientation.

Representative Cases

Statutes of Limitation are short (often less than a year) so it is very important to contact an attorney as soon as possible.
